Gr1 Titanium alloy bar

Gr1 titanium alloy bar has excellent stamping performance. Various forms of welding, good welding performance, welding joints can reach 90% of the strength of the matrix metal. Easy to saw and grinding wheel cutting, good machining performance. Excellent corrosion resistance for parts under 350℃, small force and stamping into a variety of complex shapes of parts. for instance, the condenser of a thermal power plant, piping systems, valves, and pumps corroded by seawater, chemical heat exchangers, pump bodies, and distillation towers; platinum-plated anode in a system for desalinating seawater; a skeleton, skin, engine, beams, etc. of an airplane.

TITANIUM ALLOY GRADE DESCRIPTION
CP Titanium Grade 1 Softest titanium; has the highest ductility and good cold forming characteristics
CP Titanium Grade 2 has moderate strength and good cold forming characteristics; also has good welding, corrosion and oxidation corrosion properties
CP Titanium Grade 3 stronger and less formable; has excellent corrosion resistance
CP Titanium Grade 4 commercially pure titanium; has lower ductility; can be cold formed; corrosion-resistant
Titanium Grade 5 – 6Al-4V Most commercially available alloy; has combined toughness and high strength; has good fabrication and welding properties
Titanium Grade 7 – Ti-0.2Pd has mechanical and physical properties similar to CP3; excellent fabrication and welding properties
Titanium Grade 9 – 3Al-2.5V Medium strength and excellent corrosion resistance; also has great cold rolling properties
Titanium Grade 11 – Ti-0.15Pd Highly resistant corrosion; has the same mechanical and physical properties to titanium grade 2
Titanium Grade 12 – Ti-0.3-M.o-0.8Ni Enhanced corrosion resistance

Industrial pure titanium is divided into three grades: TA1, TA2 and TA3 according to the impurity content. The gap impurity elements of these three kinds of industrial pure titanium are gradually increased, so the mechanical strength and hardness also increase gradually, but the plasticity and toughness decrease accordingly. The pure titanium used in industry is TA2 because of its moderate corrosion resistance and comprehensive mechanical properties. TA3 can be used for high corrosion resistance and strength requirements. TA1 can be used for better molding properties.

TA1 and TA2 have very good low temperature toughness and high low temperature strength when iron content is 0.095%, oxygen content is 0.08%, hydrogen content is 0.0009%, and nitrogen content is 0.0062%. It can be used as -259°C. The following low temperature structural materials.
