Overview

Alloy Integrity in Extreme Environments

The chemical industry operates in some of the most aggressive industrial environments. Chemical processing equipment is often exposed to strong acids, alkalis, chlorides, oxidizing media, reducing media, mixed chemical solutions, steam, high temperature, and high pressure. Under these conditions, ordinary stainless steel or carbon steel may suffer from pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, oxidation, leakage, or premature failure. Nickel alloys and titanium alloys are widely used in chemical processing because they provide excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, mechanical stability, and long service life. Different grades are selected according to chemical medium, concentration, temperature, pressure, fluid flow, and equipment design. For example, Hastelloy C276 is often considered for aggressive acidic and chloride-containing environments, Inconel 625 is suitable for pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, Incoloy 825 is used in acid-related systems, and titanium alloys are widely used in many oxidizing and chloride-containing environments. Emily PIPE provides nickel alloy tubes, nickel alloy bars, titanium alloy tubes, and titanium alloy bars for chemical equipment manufacturers, engineering contractors, processing plants, pressure vessel manufacturers, heat exchanger producers, pump and valve manufacturers, and maintenance projects. We support customized production according to drawings, ASTM, ASME, EN, ISO, NACE, and customer-specific project requirements.
